Q:Will all my restaurant/site information remain confidential?
All StarSat® associates sign strict Non Disclosure Agreements guaranteeing the confidentiality of all client information. Your data is stored securely on our servers and only people you designate have access to it.
Q:Is a separate high speed internet connection required for the StarSat® system?
StarSat® can use an existing high speed connection as long as the bandwidth is acceptable.
Q:If I already have Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) cameras installed, can they be used?
StarSat® uses domed, color cameras in order to assure high video quality. If the current Client cameras can be certified for use, these cameras will be incorporated into the system.
What are the system components?
- StarSat® Appliance: includes DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and proprietary software secured inside a locked container.
- Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) Cameras: A minimum of eight cameras must be installed to successfully monitor a location.
- Dry Contacts: These are open/close sensors installed on key doors – safe, office door, site entry doors, back door, cooler door and other strategic doors (ex. Storage area outside site).
- Broadband Connectivity (supplied by Client).
- Customized website for displaying Client's location information
How long does an installation take?
In general, depending upon the number of inside/exterior cameras and contacts selected by the client, a StarSat® system can be completed within three to four days. As always, the goal is to minimize any disruptions to daily operations.
What services are provided to the customer for the Monthly Management Monitoring Fee?
- Initial training of Location Managers and all Location Designated Leaders will be conducted in the most efficient and economical manner for all parties
- Loss Prevention Specialists (LPS) review flagged transactions (ex: manager and employee discounts, coupons, and refunds) daily for Customer’s locations.
- LPS send high risk events that have been defined by the Customers to their designated contacts for corrective action.
- LPS will contact Customer designated contacts directly if they continued to review the same high risk events at the same locations; this allows LPS to expedite issue resolutions to reduce Customer loss exposures.
- Customer has access to the StarSat® Website from any web based location with high speed internet service to review operational areas of concern.
- StarSat® stores high risk events up to 12 months or the desire length of time the Customer arranges during pre-installation of the StarSat® Extra-Eyes System.
- User Manuals are provided for initial training and as a reference tool
